COO / Operational Management

The COO shall contribute to the company’s operationalization and continuing transition from a development company into a professional and effective global volume player in consumer electronics. The COO shall specifically create, develop, operate and monitor effective organizational processes for the delivery of products from product definition, via product development and volume production to delivery to the end customer right across geographical divides and areas of functional responsibility (the product delivery chain).


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and operation of FXI’s procedures and processes throughout the product delivery chain, in accordance with specified targets and criteria. This includes establishing a logistics system with the necessary internationally recognized certifications.
  • Product management throughout the product delivery chain, to quality-assure and manage the process from conception to delivery, including lifecycle analysis, support structures etc. Secure transfer between functional managers along the product delivery chain.  Continually monitor the process. Initiate and implement corrective measures if necessary.
  • Negotiate all types of agreements with sub-contractors in connection with production and delivery, including component agreements, delivery agreements, letters of credit, insurance agreements etc.
  • Negotiate all types of agreements with our own distribution chain.

Qualifications:

  • Higher education to master’s degree level
  • 10-15 years’ experience in a relevant industry
  • Business oriented and emphatic commercial predilections
  • Commercial experience of working internationally, including with Asian cultures.
  • Used to negotiating with major commercial systems, understands domestic processes
  • International experience of logistics solutions
  • Strong on administration and controlling complex processes

Workplace:
Trondheim

Travel:
National and international travel in the market and out to partners must be expected. A level of 50 nights a year is anticipated.
